The Dream Machine Foundation is pleased to announce that we were invited to join the Terra Conservation Initiative (TCI), www.terraconservation.org, as a non-profit partner.
TCI, in partnership with Terra Group, www.terra.bz, an opportunistic partnership engaged in the creation, acquisition, ownership, management, and operation of game-changing private businesses that provide a positive impact on the world, and its subsidiary, Terra Sustainable Technologies, a B-Corp, www.terrasustainable.bz, work closely with industry, developers, governments, entrepreneurs, and conservation-focused non-profits to provide and implement sustainability solutions fully aligned with recipient strategy.
Terra expertly integrates the disciplines of design, engineering, sustainability, and conservation resulting in operations that are practical and well-designed with social and aesthetic integrity.
Terra is the global leader in ESG, including energy, agriculture, communications, electric mobility, light, water, and remote sustainable technologies.
As a conservation partner, the DMF will have access to Terra’s cutting-edge, sustainable, technological solutions, including light electric utility vehicles that are able to operate on rural Fijian roads as mobile clinics. These EVs are tough, zero-emission vehicles that can operate in tropical conditions, and their power systems that may include solar arrays will also be able to power medical equipment.
Additionally, Terra has other unique high-tech solutions such as atmospheric water generation, solar and wind power, digital communications, and data analytics that may be able to help Fiji’s rural health programs.
Importantly, Terra Conservation Initiative will work in collaboration with DMF to raise donor funds, which will help to deploy a turn-key sustainable medical and dental clinic in Nasukamai Village. The DMF has built clinics and successfully operated mobile clinics under Fiji Government supervision for over two decades.
Currently, Fiji is being hit hard by COVID. With a population of 900,000, they are seeing over a thousand cases each day - potentially the highest in the world. Terra and the DMF will attempt to rapidly mobilize sustainable mobile clinics that provide critical life-saving services to 40 remote villages in
Ra Province.
The benefits for Fiji’s Government and the Indigenous People of Fiji that will come from this partnership between Terra and the Dream Machine Foundation is awesome in its potential.
Here we are at a Fijian Middle School.
The Fijians are an absolute joy to work with!
This little girl was brought to us by her grandmother. She had a severely crooked spine. The Fiji government hospital said that she had less than two more years to live because her lungs were so infringed upon. In desperation, the family reached out to the Dream Machine Foundation.
Thanks to generous donations and volunteers, we flew her to the United States for life-saving surgery. Her dream was to see elephants while she could still walk - not only did she see elephants in the United States - she has grown into a healthy, active young girl.
This kindly grandfather had a growth on his face for a long, long time. Yet, he remains a very happy man. He defines the Fijian spirit who are recognized to be the happiest people on the planet. This lifelong growth only took
40 minutes to remove.
Many Fijian children are never evaluated for treatable and preventable medical conditions. Volunteers performed extensive student health evaluations and laid the groundwork for tracking and cataloging future students.
